To make Marina Bay more exciting, DBS launched the DBS Marina Bay Sailing Programme in 2013 featuring a fleet of SB20 sailboats from the Singapore Sailing Federation. This program offers the public an opportunity to explore Marina Reservoir and enjoy the picturesque view of the bay from a different perspective, free of charge.
In July 2015, the Singapore Sailing Federation furthered its commitment to engage the community by introducing a new fleet of sailboats, SM40s, which are forty feet long. This new fleet enables more people to try sailing and appreciate the bay in a whole new way.
The DBS Marina Bay Sailing Programme is available for individuals aged 7 to 70 years old, with each person allowed to register up to four participants. Boat allocation is on a first-come-first-served basis at the meeting point. Due to its popularity, slots are taken quickly, so early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment.
